THE DESIGN IN THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR OF THE BMW Z4 ROADSTER.

Inside and out, the design of the BMW Z4 Roadster conveys a feeling of relaxed sportiness and individual aesthetics. Powerful features of the dynamic appearance include the BMW kidney grille in mesh design, the elegant roof and elements of the M Shadow Line. The interior rounds off the coherent design concept with optional equipment such as the M Sport seats or the ambient lighting.

BMW kidney with mesh design

The mesh design of the BMW kidney, which varies depending on the engine, contributes to the dynamic appearances. The basic model has a high-gloss black mesh grille, the Sport Line and M Sport package are made of matt aluminium, each with a kidney frame in chrome. The BMW kidney of the top model M40i is completely in Cerium Grey.

Air breather

Together with the air curtain in the front apron, the air breather positioned behind the front wheel arches significantly reduces air turbulence in the wheel arches and targeted channelling of the airflow - thus reducing drag. At the same time, they underline the athletic character of the vehicle as a decorative element.

Softtop

The Black Softtop blends harmoniously into the dynamic lines of the vehicle. At the push of the button, it opens and closes electrically in approximately ten seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 50km/h. One of the outstanding properties of this extremely high-quality softtop is its excellence noise insulation.

M sport Differential

The M sport differential optimises traction and driving stability when changing lanes or accelerating out of a bend, when taking bends at high speeds or on different road surfaces. Traction is optimises with the help of an electronically operated device that reduces the difference in revolution speed between rear wheels.

M sport brake

The M sport brake has four-piston fixed calipers at the front and single-piston floating calipers at the rear in blue with the M designation and feature large brake discs to ensure outstanding braking performance.

Adaptive M suspension

The 10 millimetre lowered Adaptive M suspension can be electronically adjusted at anytime to suit the road and driving conditions. Drivers can also adjust the suspension characteristics via the Driving Experience Control to enable their prefered driving style at the time - from comfortable to extremely athletic with markedly agile handling.

Variable Sport Steering

The variable sport steering with Servotronic creates a direct and agile steering response and ensure that less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. This improves handling when driving more dynamically and reduces the effort needed to steer when parking and turning.

Steptronic Sport Transmission

The 8-speed Steptronic Sport Transmission with Launch Control allows sporty gear changes both automatically and manually via seletor lever or paddle shifters - for comfortable gliding or a dynamic driving style. In SPORT or SPORT+ mode and with the gear lever on the left-hand S/M position, the gear shift are configures for maximum performance.

M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine

Commanding power, silky-smooth running and a stirring sound are the hallmarks of the M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine from the new generation of the BMW Efficient Dynamic engine range. With double VANOS, Valvetronic, High-precision Injection and a TwinScroll turbocharger, it is particularly powerful and efficient.
